EXHIBITION: MAN IN HIS GARDEN

July 10 – October 10, 2021 – Jardin des Plantes

It was between the Jardin des Plantes and the Faculty of Medicine’s Anatomy Museum that Gérald Chanques and Cédric Matet conceived a photographic and digital project in which they paired anatomical specimens with plants.

  • AN EXHIBITION RUNNING FOR 3 MONTHS

The exhibition was open to the public at the Jardin des Plantes from July 10 to October 10, 2021. It was marked by a glamorous opening ceremony on September 17, 2021, attended by local dignitaries, members of the media, and doctors from the Montpellier community.

  • TOUR OF THE GARDEN AND THE EXHIBITED WORKS

The public was able to admire the works just before dusk before being led to the Orangerie at the Jardin des Plantes

  • OPENING NIGHT ON THE ORANGERIE LAWN

While the cocktail reception is taking place on the lawn, the Orangerie is transformed by an original installation that showcases the artists’ audiovisual work—an immersive and timeless experience.
