NEW EU SOCIAL SKILLS AND THERAPEUTIC COMMUNICATION

Born out of the requirements of the R2C program, but also out of the Faculty's strong and deliberate desire to give students the tools they need to better understand the patient-caregiver relationship, the new Interpersonal Skills course is a true pedagogical innovation. Launched in 2021-22, it is innovative in the vision it offers: improving students' individual well-being in order to improve their professional interpersonal skills.

To achieve this dual objective, the EU relies on four major pillars:

  • COMBATING STIGMATIZATION IN HEALTHCARE

The EU is divided into several "segments" that are taught over the five years following the PASS/LAS. Depending on the specific nature of the subject taught, instruction is spread over several years or taught in a single session. Small group workshops are encouraged to facilitate discussion and interaction among students.
