  • 2025 Agnes McLaren Prize in Medicine

The third edition of the Agnes McLaren Medical Prize is now underway!

The Agnes McLaren Prize, worth 4,000 euros, was established in honor of a Scottish woman who was the first female medical graduate from the Montpellier School of Medicine in 1878. She dedicated her life to supporting women by fighting to improve their health and rights.

This award recognizes a medical dissertation focusing on the health of women and/or children in precarious and/or vulnerable situations and provides funding for research based on that dissertation.

It is open to all medical students at the Montpellier/Nîmes Faculty who will be defending their theses between April 2023 and March 2025.

Full details on how to apply can be found on the Agnes McLaren Association’s website:www.agnes-mclaren.orgor by sending an email to agnesmclaren@free.fr
