Agnès McLaren, who became the first woman to graduate with a medical degree from the Montpellier School of Medicine in 1878, dedicated her life to caring for women who were disadvantaged or marginalized by society. In her memory, the Agnès McLaren Association wishes to award a thesis prize.

    Two talks on women’s health preceded the award ceremony, led by women involved in providing care and support to women in vulnerable situations.

  • AWARD CEREMONY

    Justine Allouche is the winner of the 2021 Agnes McLaren Award! With a prize of 4,000 euros, this award recognizes Justine’s thesis and post-thesis work, which focused on “The Assessment of Knowledge and Practices Regarding Cervical Cancer Screening Among Women in Prostitution in the Departments of Gard and Hérault.” Justine received congratulations from the jury for her high-quality work.
