On November 9, 2023, ADENE organized a conference on end-of-life care at our faculty on the Arnaud de Villeneuve Health Campus:

“Going beyond our convictions to think together.”

The following guests were in attendance at the invitation of Nicolas Molinari, Chairman of the Adène Group, and Pierre Coulot, Chief Executive Officer:

– Dr. Jean Leonetti, a former minister after whom the 2005 and 2016 laws on the rights of patients at the end of life were named.

– Prof. Jacques Bringer, Chair of the Ethics Committee of the National Academy of Medicine and of the Steering Committee of the Occitanie Ethics Network.

– Prof. Pierre-François Perrigault, anesthesiologist and intensivist, chair of the ethics committees of the French Society of Anesthesia and Intensive Care and the Montpellier University Hospital.

The University of Montpellier was well represented, with President Philippe Augé, Professor Isabelle Laffont, Dean of the Montpellier-Nîmes School of Medicine, Professor Vincent Lisowski, Dean of the Montpellier School of Pharmacy, and Professor Jean-Cédric Durand, Dean of the Montpellier School of Dentistry.

Our faculty had set up two lecture halls (one in Montpellier and one in Nîmes) to broadcast the lecture live.

Today, for those who weren’t able to attend, the Adène Association has posted a video of the conference online.
