Welcome for New Interns at the Arnaud de Villeneuve Health Campus

On Friday, September 26, 2025, the Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty of Medicine, represented by the postgraduate program office, and the student association SILR (Syndicat des Internes du Languedoc-Roussillon), represented by its president, Colin Azria, organized the traditional orientation day for new residents at the Arnaud de Villeneuve Health Campus.

This event, which marked an important milestone in the careers of young doctors, brought together all the new residents in general medicine and specialty fields.

The morning was divided into two parts:

  • In the Ziegelmann Auditorium, the general practice residents were assigned their rotations in order of their rankings.

  • Meanwhile, in the Rabelais Amphitheater, the specialist residents attended a welcome presentation that introduced them to how the residency program works, the support structures in place, and the various faculty and university hospital staff who will guide them throughout their training.

In the afternoon, the roles were reversed: the general practitioners attended the welcome session, while the specialists gathered in the lecture hall to be assigned their clinical rotations.

To make the day more enjoyable and interactive, several regional booths were set up in the building’s lobby. Their purpose was to showcasethe Aveyron, Lozère, and the Gard-Rhône regions, with the aim of highlighting these areas and sparking the residents’ interest in completing their rotations there.

We wish all of these new interns every success in their future careers!
