Welcoming new interns to the Arnaud de Villeneuve Health Campus

On Friday, September 26, 2025, the Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty of Medicine, represented by the postgraduate department, and the student association SILR (Syndicat des Internes du Languedoc-Roussillon), represented by its president Colin Azria, organized the traditional welcome day for new interns at the Arnaud de Villeneuve Health Campus.

This event, marking an important milestone in the careers of young doctors, brought together all new interns in general medicine and specialties.

The morning was divided into two parts:

  • In the Ziegelmann amphitheater, general medicine interns were assigned their internships in order of their ranking.

  • At the same time, in the Rabelais amphitheater, specialist interns attended a welcome presentation, allowing them to learn about how the internship program works, the support structures in place, and the various people at the faculty and university hospital who will be supporting them throughout their studies.

In the afternoon, the roles were reversed: the general practitioners joined the welcome presentation, while the specialists took their seats in the lecture hall for the assignment of their internships.

To make the day more enjoyable and interactive, several regional stands were set up in the building's lobby. Their purpose was to showcaseAveyron, Lozère, and Gard Rhodanien, highlighting these regions and sparking the interns' interest in pursuing internships there.

We wish all of these new interns every success in their future careers!
