Tronc-Chanal 2025 grant awarded

On Friday October 24, 2025, two scholarships were awarded to Coralie Roche and Antoine Mathivet, two interns from our faculty, in the presence of Dean Isabelle Laffont and Foundation President Christine Tronc-Chanal.

The post-graduate school was represented by Mrs Patricia Reboul, and also present were Professor François Carbonnel, several interns, the representative of the Syndicat des Internes du Languedoc Roussillon, Mr Illies Ouhab, and family and friends of the prizewinners.

What is the purpose of the Tronc Chanal Foundation?

The Fondation Tronc-Chanal, supported by the Fondation de France, supports the work of students in French literature and language, as well as in medicine. Its aim is to provide one-off financial assistance to students already at an advanced stage of their studies, enabling them to progress towards excellence.

In keeping with its dual mission, every year the Foundation awards a prize of 2,000 euros to a recent Doctor of Letters, and two scholarships of 1,000 euros each to two medical interns from our faculty.

The two students from the Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty of Medicine should be admitted to the internship competition, and should wish to specialize at a university other than our own.
