Master's Degree in Management in the University Hospital Setting

April 2025 marked the first edition of this university diploma program, which will return in 2026.

This training program is intended for professionals working in organizations involved in academic activities—namely, teaching and research—within healthcare facilities across the region.

Deans Michel Mondain and Isabelle Laffont have long been committed to establishing this university diploma program, recognizing the importance of the knowledge required in these fields at the national level.
It is open to continuing education programs, particularly those aimed at individuals who already hold management positions in research, department heads, and practitioners who work with students.
In response to an observation—namely, the frustration some employees feel toward management—and driven by a desire to bring about change through managerial innovation, this training program aims to rebuild connections, improve working conditions, and promote well-being.
The environmental studies modules were designed by Michel Mondain and a team of professors, including Celine Bourgier, as well as Professors de la Coussaye and Jonquet for the conflict management component.
Vanessa Brouillet of AYAM is in charge of the modules on communication strategies, conflict prevention, management, cooperation, and collective intelligence in the healthcare sector, for which she is assisted by specialists (Benoit Deron, pictured here, and Claire Fabre for Module 1).
Compassion and confidentiality—which are mandatory—enable the group to communicate freely, share tips, and foster the bonds that are essential for effective communication and cooperation within and between departments.
The practices are analyzed through scenario-based exercises, role-playing, and problem-solving exercises that draw on collective intelligence, and course materials will help reinforce your new knowledge.
“Diversity breeds richness” (Albert Jacquard) and “If you don’t love me, it’s because you don’t know me” (Will Schutz) set the tone for this training program, which provides fundamental knowledge on intrapersonal development strategies and the implementation of best practices in communication.
