PARAMEDICAL STUDIES
Orthoptics consists of the examination, rehabilitation, and retraining of vision, possibly using devices, with the aim of treating functional vision abnormalities.
Orthoptics concerns all alterations in functional vision in terms of motor, sensory, and functional aspects. The orthoptic examination is based on an assessment of visual abilities according to the symptoms described, the pathology, the patient's age, and their specific needs in relation to their activities.
The program lasts three years, following admission exams.

OUR STUDENTS HAVE THE FLOOR
For me, optician and orthoptist are two professions that complement each other perfectly.
My name is Nicolas, I'm 25 years old and I'm in my first year of training to become an orthoptist.
I am where I am today because I worked as an optician before deciding to change careers, although I see it more as a specialization.
In fact, I believe that optician and orthoptist are two professions that complement each other perfectly, and so it is with great pleasure that I embark on this new training program with the goal of working in a private practice, as salaried employment in retail did not suit me.
Come to orthoptics!
My name is Coralie, I'm 18 years old, and I just graduated from high school! Orthoptics has always been something that interested me! During high school, I was able to do a lot of internships to really be sure of myself, and I advise everyone to do the same to be sure of their path.
Even though it can be a little scary at first to be fresh out of high school when most of the class has done other studies before, in the end everyone is friendly and there is a lot of mutual support, even between different years!
It's a job that isn't talked about much, even though it's very interesting and varied.
Come to orthoptics! 🙂
