Welcome to the website of the Montpellier Nîmes Faculty of Medicine. Here you will find all the information you need about our health education and research activities.

With its rich historical and cultural heritage, the Montpellier Nîmes Faculty of Medicine is the oldest medical school in the world. We celebrated its800thanniversary in 2020, and you can find the highlights of these 18 months of celebrationson this page.

In terms of education, our training programs includemedicineandmidwifery, as well as paramedical traininginspeech therapy, orthoptics, advanced practice nursing, andpsychomotor therapy. The courses are resolutely focused on the challenges of tomorrow's medicine: new health needs, territorial issues, the role of technology and digitalization, interprofessionality and interdisciplinarity, and international openness. A wide range of continuing education courses complements this initial training program. All our courses usemodern teachingmethods andtools: simulation, e-learning, and new teaching formats. A special place is given to patient partners, who are now integrated into the teaching teams.

Our faculty is involved inhealth researchin close collaboration withthe University of Montpellier, theMontpellierandNîmesUniversity Hospitals, the IRCM, research organizations, the ARS, and theRegion. It offers research training in the form of initial and continuing education: dual degree programs, research years, and several Master's programs. It plays an important role in structuring health research through its vision of developments in medicine, through the promotion of links between training and research within the faculty, and through its involvement in innovative clinical, fundamental, and translational research projects.

Concerned about the well-being of all its stakeholders, our Faculty implements a strong policy ofsocial responsibilitytowards students, administrative and technical staff, as well as teachers and researchers, who enable it to fulfill its missions.
