To mark the 800th anniversary of the Montpellier Faculty of Medicine, a collaboration between scholars from the University of Montpellier and Paul Valéry University has made it possible to organize this conference, which will provide an opportunity to discuss this leading figure in medieval surgery in a magical setting: the historic building.
