Back from the Teddy Bear Hospital

A new edition of the Teddy Bear Hospital took place from March 25 to 28 in the Historic Building of the Montpellier School of Medicine. It was organized by the student association “ACM Corpo.”

The goal is to show children what happens during a doctor's visit.

To that end, each program had a booth, and the children were able to learn about various careers.

The goal was to raise awareness among preschool and elementary school students about the importance of caring for others.

They were responsible for their stuffed animals and had to explain how they got hurt. This way, they took an active role in caring for their stuffed animals, which helped take the fear out of the medical world by approaching it with age-appropriate vocabulary and simple concepts.

The booths consisted of a scanner and a cardboard X-ray machine, which had lights built in to simulate the emission of X-rays. The children pressed a button to take the X-rays themselves.

This year's event was a huge hit with the city's students.
