A look back at the MAP public speaking contest

On Monday, November 4, the historic building, and more specifically the Anatomy Amphitheater, hosted the public speaking competition organized by MAP. An evening entirely dedicated to public speaking, where everyone could express their ideas, defend their convictions, and play with words, whether they were accustomed to verbal jousting or simply curious to discover the exercise.

Dr. Virginie Perotin, Mila Esclafit, Mamadou Lamine Yade, and Laurent Visier made up the jury.

The audience was treated to a variety of performances: some funny, others touching, inspiring, or more powerful. The assigned themes allowed the 10 participants to showcase their creativity and put their eloquence to the test. The attentive and committed jury then ranked the speakers in the competition to determine the three finalists.

The evening was also enlivened by a concert by Medley, which helped to create a friendly atmosphere, as well as an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet that was enjoyed by all.

The second phase of the competition began, and our finalists had 20 minutes to prepare a 5-minute speech on the same final topic.

At the end of the performances, the jury announced the winners:

  • 1st place: Kenza Farhane
  • 2nd place: Pauline Faure
  • 3rd place: Louis Seguin

Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all participants for the quality of their performances.
