A look back at the MAP public speaking contest

Monday On Monday, November 4, the historic building—specifically the Anatomy Amphitheater—hosted the public speaking contest organized by MAP. It was an evening entirely dedicated to public speaking, where everyone could express their ideas, defend their beliefs, and play with words, whether they were seasoned debaters or simply curious to try their hand at it.

The jury consisted of Dr. Virginie Perotin, Mila Esclafit, Mamadou Lamine Yade, and Laurent Visier.

The audience enjoyed a variety of performances: some were funny, others touching, inspiring, or more thought-provoking. The assigned topics allowed the 10 participants to showcase their creativity and put their public speaking skills to the test. The attentive and engaged jury then evaluated the competing speakers to select the three finalists.

The evening also featured a concert by Medley, which helped create a lively atmosphere, as well as an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet that everyone enjoyed.

The second phase of the competition has begun; our finalists had 20 minutes to prepare a 5-minute speech on the same final topic.

After the performances, the jury announced the winners:

  • 1st place: Kenza Farhane
  • 2nd place: Pauline Faure
  • 3rd place: Louis Seguin

Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all the participants for their outstanding performances.
