High School Students Week 2025: Discover health studies in Montpellier

From February 24 to 28, 2025, the Montpellier Health Tutoring Association (ATSM) is organizing High School Students Week, a completely free event open to anyone who registers. This initiative aims to inform high school students, their teachers, and parents about the PASS (Parcours Accès Spécifique Santé) and LAS (Licence Accès Santé) programs, which provide access to various health-related fields of study, such as medicine, midwifery, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, and nursing.

The event will take place online, via Zoom videoconferences, throughout the week. A highlight in person is also planned, offering high school students the opportunity to discover the Arnaud de Villeneuve campus of the Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty of Medicine and attend a real tutoring session in the lecture hall, presented by the association's tutors.

Why participate in High School Student Week?

This week aims to provide participants with a clear understanding of the health studies admission system. At the end of these sessions, high school students will have acquired valuable knowledge to help them confidently choose their future health education path. They will also discover the educational and moral support offered by the faculty's tutoring services, which are available free of charge to PASS and LAS students.

Teachers, meanwhile, will benefit from a specific "Teacher Time" session to better guide their students in choosing their specializations and post-baccalaureate paths. A methodology session will also be offered to help students prepare for higher education, providing practical advice on organization and effective study methods.

A comprehensive program for high school students and parents

Parents of students have not been forgotten. A conference, "Tuto Parents," will give them the opportunity to talk with parents of students who have successfully entered health studies, in order to better understand this important step.

For seniors, dedicated "High School Tutorial" sessions will help them make the connection between the subjects they study in high school and those needed to succeed in PASS or LAS programs. High school students will thus know which areas they need to strengthen in order to confidently tackle these demanding courses.
