High School Students' Week 2025: Discover Health Studies in Montpellier

From February 24 to 28, 2025, the Montpellier Health Tutoring Association (ATSM) is organizing High School Students’ Week, a completely free event open to those who register. This initiative aims to inform high school students, their teachers, and parents about the PASS (Specific Health Access Pathway) and LAS (Health Access Bachelor’s Degree) programs, which provide access to various health-related fields of study, such as Medicine, Midwifery, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, and Nursing.

The event will take place online via Zoom video conferences throughout the week. An in-person highlight is also planned, offering high school students the opportunity to explore the Arnaud de Villeneuve campus of the Montpellier-Nîmes School of Medicine and attend a real tutoring session in a lecture hall, led by the association’s tutors.

Why participate in High School Students' Week?

This week is designed to give participants a clear understanding of the admissions process for health-related degree programs. By the end of these sessions, high school students will have gained valuable knowledge to help them confidently choose their future health-related degree program. They will also learn about the academic and emotional support services offered by the faculty’s tutoring programs—free support available to students in the PASS and LAS programs.

Teachers, for their part, will benefit from a dedicated “Teacher Time” session to better guide their students in choosing their specializations and post-high-school paths. A methodology session will also be offered to help students prepare for higher education, providing practical advice on organization and effective study habits.

A comprehensive program for high school students and their parents

Parents of students haven’t been forgotten. A workshop called “Tuto Parents” will give them the opportunity to talk with parents of students who have successfully entered health-related programs, to help them better understand this important step.

For seniors, dedicated “Tuto Lycée” sessions will help bridge the gap between the subjects studied in high school and those needed to succeed in PASS or LAS programs. This will enable high school students to identify the areas they need to strengthen so they can confidently tackle these demanding programs.
