On Tuesday November 16, the Féminin Pluriel Montpellier Méditerranée collective, in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine, the CIDFF, AG2R la Mondiale and the Agnes McLaren association, will be screening an awareness-raising film on the theme of violence against women during the month of November. The screening will be followed by a debate in the Faculty's anatomy amphitheatre. Find out more about the program below.

A collaborative documentary film

More than an awareness-raising film, the film produced with the support of the Collectif Féminin Pluriel Montpellier Méditerranée is a testimonial film. It tells the story of 6 women who have experienced domestic violence. Accompanied by two directors, these 6 women not only testified, but also took part in the conception of the film itself, which will be shown on November 16 at 6.30pm in the amphitheatre of the Faculty of Medicine.

Conceived as an information tool aimed primarily at teenage girls, the film is also intended for the general public, as the subject of domestic violence affects all social and cultural backgrounds, and all genders.

A screening followed by a discussion, in the presence of the directors

The documentary film screening will be followed by an open debate and discussion on the subject of domestic violence. Beyond physical violence, what are the other types of domestic violence? How can such violence be detected? How can we intervene, alert and help victims? How to rebuild? These are just some of the issues that will be discussed during the debate.

This event is free, open to all and requires registration.

To facilitate access for as many people as possible, this screening is open to all.
