Understanding the results

To fully understand the acronyms and analyze your results, refer to the help section below:

When the result shows ADAC, it means that you have been admitted before selection, while LC means supplementary list. However, for Medicine and Midwifery courses, if the result shown is LC but you are admitted to Medicine or Midwifery when you refer to the rankings (ADMP), this is due to the existence of two training sites. As allocation is based on merit, you must therefore list these programs in your prioritized choices in accordance with the procedure specified in the attached document.

On the ADMP display = admitted before selection in medical or midwifery training, regardless of the training location: Nîmes or Montpellier.

Two steps to complete:

  • STEP 1: PRIORITIZING CHOICES

To help you prioritize your choices, the program selection application will be open from Monday, July 19 at 12:00 p.m. until Tuesday, July 20 at 12:00 p.m.
    • Specificity for Medicine and Midwifery:

Given the very short deadlines, for each of these programs, you will choose between the Montpellier or Nîmes campus at the end ofthe secondset of examsdirectly in the program selection application, prioritizing the campus that interests you most when you are admitted or placed on the waiting list for at least one of these two programs.

  • STEP 2: CONFIRMATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF ADMISSION

You must confirm or decline admission to an MMOP training program if you are admitted to one.

At the end of step 1, you will receive an email inviting you to view the results of your potential admission and to respond as soon as possible to a questionnaire so that you can accept or decline your potential admission to an MMOP training program.

PLEASE NOTE: CONFIRMATION OF ADMISSION IS REQUIRED, OTHERWISE YOU MAY LOSE THE BENEFIT!

In preparation for the PASS and LAS academic year, the health tutoring associations at the University of Montpellier (Association du Tutorat Santé de Montpellier, Tutorat Santé Nîmes, and Association des Tuteurs en Pharmacie) are organizing a pre-term internship to help students settle into university life and get a good understanding of the year ahead.

The objectives of this internship

This internship provides an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the key points of the courses that will be covered in the first semester, to start finding your own work rhythm, and to gradually immerse yourself in a year of PASS or LAS.

As a result, two separate SPRs will be organized:

  • FOR PASSES

An SPR for PASS students, which will begin on August 23 and end on September 4 with a joint exam.

  • FOR THE WEAK

An SPR for LAS students, scheduled for August 30 and 31, providing an introduction to the health minor.

Pre-term internship for PASS students

Registration for the PASS Pre-Term Course costs €15, which covers the cost of printed handouts for the slideshows presented. You must first register for tutoring, which is free and open all year round (accessible here).

This SPR will take place from August 23 to September 4. It will be held in person at the respective sites of the three associations, namely:

ATSM

Arnaud de Villeneuve site,

641 Doyen Gaston GIRAUD Avenue

34,090 Montpellier

TSN

Carémeau site,

186 Carreau de Lanes Road

30,900 Nîmes

ATP

School of Pharmacy,

15 Charles FLAHAULT Avenue

34,090 Montpellier

The in-person format of this course aims to facilitate students' initial contact with the university environment, with each other, and with the tutors with whom they will interact throughout the year.

Focus on: ADAC result "Admitted before choice"

Candidates who are directly admitted after the first set of tests must:

>> confirm their acceptance of admission, specifying, when their name appears on several admission lists, the medical, pharmacy, dentistry, or midwifery program they have definitively chosen, under penalty of losing the benefit of this admission and not being able to take the second group of exams for the program to which they had been directly admitted. This agreement constitutes a waiver of the right to sit the second group of exams.

III of Article 11 of the Order of November 11, 2019

Students must clearly express their decision:
>> either they explicitly accept the program to which they have been admitted after the first set of exams and, in this case, they waive their right to participate in the second set of exams and the possibility of being admitted to another program;

>> either they waive their right to take the first set of exams and can take the second set of exams in order to try again to be admitted to another program. They can also try again to gain admission to the program they waived direct admission to. However, there is no guarantee that they will be admitted to this program.

As it can be difficult to understand what studying health sciences in Montpellier entails, the Montpellier Health Tutoring Association (ATSM) offers a week-long internship and training program so that high school students can embark on their studies fully informed and prepared!

The program:

During High School Student Week, members ofthe Montpellier Health Tutoring Association prepared a comprehensive program to provide the best possible support to future medical students, as well as their parents and teaching staff at various high schools.

  • This week, dedicated to high school students, will take place from April 19 to 23, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., online via Zoom!

  • At the end of this completely free week, high school students will understand how the reform of access to health studies (medicine, midwifery, pharmacy, dentistry, physical therapy, and occupational therapy for the PASS) works!

  • The association also offers training specifically for secondary school teaching staff, providing them with the tools they need to guide high school students in their career choices.

  • High school students will be kept up to date on the tutoring services available this year, which include academic and moral support, completely free of charge and supervised by faculty professors!

  • Members of the ATSM association will offer a session on methodology to help students prepare for higher education. A conference bringing together students who have successfully entered health studies, their parents, high school students, and their parents will also be on the program.

  • This week also extends to students in their junior and sophomore years with a comprehensive presentation of the PASS and LAS programs, including a discussion of the specialized courses to choose.

  • For seniors, tutors will review the key points of the high school curriculum that need to be mastered in order to ensure a solid foundation.

Practical information:

PASS or LAS students, check out this article for a message from the Dean about spots available in DFGSM2 (second year of medical school) for the upcoming academic year. You'll also find an update on spots available in midwifery.

Update on places in midwifery

Message from the Dean (Medicine Program)

Key information – MEDICINE program

  • Regarding places in DFGSM2 (MEDICINE) for the 2021-22 academic year

320 places will be offered in DFGSM2 (MEDICINE)in 2021-22, including:

    • 172 places for PACES repeat students
    • 148 places for PASS, LAS, and transfer students. 70% of these 148 places are reserved for PASS students.

Update as of April 7, 2021: one additional place is available in medicine, allocated to the PASS.

  • Regarding repeating the PASS

Repeating the PASS is not permitted.

However, a second chance to apply for MMOP is offered in LAS 2 or LAS 3 if you have the required ECTS credits.

  • Regarding the success rate for PASS students entering the MEDICINE program

The minimum pass rate is 5.8%.

    • This rate is higher than that of first-time PASS applicants in 2019-2020, which was 5.6%.
    • This minimum rate would correspond to an unlikely scenario: that is, if all students enrolled in PASS applied to study medicine.

This minimum rate is guaranteed and can only increase.

The final success rate will only be known with certainty after the MMOP application phase, which will take place at a later date, depending on the preferences of all students.
